WILL YOU STAND UP?
Darlene at Our Creative Life has challenged other bloggers to stand up. I thank Darlene for this challenge, and I join her in standing up for my beliefs. Although "Snopes" reports this story as legend, it's a legend that makes me want to stand up, so I'll keep the legend going regardless of its validity. laurie

Hi Laurie, I love this story and totally believe we should all stand up when someone is saying that the emperor is wearing beautiful clothes...when he is in fact, naked as a jaybird. But I did want to let you know that according to snopes.com, the story is one of those urban legends that circulates around. The school in CA never had a class like the one described. Hope you don't mind my sharing snopes.com...great site when you read something that you wonder if is really a true story.

What an arrogant man that professor was...to think that God has nothing better to do...than to worry about him dropping chalk. I think I would have stood up and asked him why he thought he was so darned important. It just amazes me why anyone would feel the need to be so cruel and intolerant. Thanks for reminding us that we all need to stand up for what we believe.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! True or not it does make you think. ~ Hope you are having a nice weekend. ~ Robyn

I'm standing. Whether the story is true of not is moot. The principle remains.
