Remember when I welcomed Fall to my mantel? I used French Santons.
I’ve changed a few things for the Thanksgiving season. The pilgrims have now landed. In the photo above, you see the fancy young couple preparing for the feast.
Another couple of young pilgrims join in the preparations.
An older couple is providing the turkey and some harvest bounty to the feast.
An Indian couple shows up with more bounty for the feast. (The fact that there is only one Indian couple is not a political statement on my part. It is just more difficult to find Indian figurines than Pilgrim figurines – especially if you shop exclusively at estate sales and flea markets!)
A needlepoint cornucopia, purchased at an estate sale for $5.00 (isn’t that sad that something someone labored over, sold for $5?), centers the mantel.
I have had such a busy couple of weeks, and I haven’t been able to visit my favorite blogs, but I hope my life will slow down, and I’ll be able to visit soon. It was great to have you visit today. laurie
