FRIDAY FAVES-FALL DÉCOR EDITION

Fall Home Tour {Virtual} and a GIVEAWAY

OUR SOUTHERN HOME

Have you started thinking about Fall décor (or maybe you’ve already started decorating for Fall).  I’ve been collecting ideas, and my faves today are some of those ideas.  I love the breadbox filled with Fallness on this table on the porch.  OK, that is one giant piece of driftwood!

HOME STORIES A TO Z

Aren’t these painted acorns pretty?

KRISTEN’S CREATIONS

I’m not sure if this was on the door at Kristen’s Creations last year or the year before, but it is so beautiful and one of the most popular re-pins from my board on Pinterest.

A STROLL THRU LIFE

I like all the textures in Marty’s vignette – from the checked runner to the mercury glass, velvet, and even green plants.

HYACINTHS FOR THE SOUL

Sarah’s Fall table is one of my all-time favorites.  Isn’t this just stunning?

Welcoming Pumpkin Wheelbarrow

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS

I really NEED  a vintage (or vintage-looking) wheelbarrow.  Isn’t this a pretty way to welcome guests in the Fall?

Antique-Key Fall Pumpkins

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS

Some people are just SO creative.  I would never have thought to use skeleton keys to make letters on pumpkins.

MOUNTAIN BREATHS

Isn’t this “refurbished with paint” wheelbarrow just the cutest thing?   (Yep!  I NEED  vintage wheelbarrow).

BACK PORCH MUSINGS

Beautiful floral arrangement in a basket, and I love the idea of hanging it on a mirror.

Fall Table-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

Bargain Decorating with Laurie

The reason I’m sharing one of my Fall tables is that one of my favorite things are the velvet pumpkins that my friend, Susie, creates.  I’m so fortunate to be a recipient of some of these.  You can never have enough velvet pumpkins (a not-so-subtle hint in case Susie reads this!).

Do you think I’m rushing Fall?  It takes me awhile to figure out what I’m going to do, so I start seeking inspiration early.  I have already showed you my first Fall mantel for this year, but I think cotton was a way for me to ease into it without having to commit to Fall colors yet.  Thanks for visiting me.  laurie

I love seeing this collection of posts. I've been thinking about fall decorating but not quite ready to make the transition. Love those vintage wheelbarrows and that wreath by Kristen's Creations. Those painted acorns are such a cute idea too! That vignette from Southern Home is wonderful- what a fun concept with the bread box. I love thinking "out of the box" and this is a great example! Have a great weekend!

I just found you from Blogtalk and I'm so glad I did. Fall is my favorite season I just love all the colors, crisp air and the promise of cozy times around the fireplace. I definitely need some of those velvet pumpkins! I'm going on a pinning frenzy from your inspiration. Thanks.

Hi Laurie! I love the blue table and mirror! AND you may or may not remember that fall is my favorite season, too. It doesn't seem possible that it's almost September! AND it's very hot and humid here, which can continue long into October sometimes. I want to thank you, again, for posting the cover of my memoir on your blog! You're fabulous!! Have a beautiful, blissful weekend! Hugs ~

Laurie, these are some great inspiration photos! I am so ready for Fall. Yesterday, I pulled out my decor and started sorting. I usually go for it, around September 1st. Hope you have a great weekend!

Even though this feels like a real fall morning I can't think about fall yet. Summer was just too short.

Such great inspiration for fall decorating, Laurie! I've been thinking about how I'm going to decorate this year. I have a feeling I'll be heading up to the attic and bringing stuff down in the next week or so. I think I may just play around a bit.

Laurie, still much too hot here for me to think about fall other than clearing out the dead plants in my summer garden to ready the beds for fall planting. Thanks for the compliment on my fall table. It's still one of my favorites too because of the beautiful dishes from Cherry Kay. I repeated the look for Thanksgiving last year. Love the idea of a vintage card or wheelbarrow for fall decor, especially Debbie's CC painted one.
Happy Weekend!
