FRUITY OUTDOOR TABLESCAPE

Outdoor Supper

I don’t know about the rest of you, but our temperatures this week are so much  more pleasant than what we are accustomed to in July.  So, when I got home from work, I decided that we’d sit on the back porch to enjoy one of our favorite summertime meals.

Outdoor Supper 9

The fruity tablecloth features strawberries, raspberries, cherries, lemons, and oranges, with swirls of checkered ribbons flowing among the fruits.

Outdoor Supper 2

No flatware required for Bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches with chips on the side (this was not one of our healthy meal nights!).  The plates for our sandwich are melamine (Le Cadeaux).  Under the sandwich plate, I used another melamine plate (Moda Home)

Outdoor Supper 2a

There are strawberry vines growing on our napkin rings.

Outdoor Supper 2b

We used plastic stemware (perfect for outdoor dining).

Outdoor Supper 3

A couple of ladybugs joined us to offer salt and pepper.

Outdoor Supper 4

This was a last-minute table, so for a quick and easy centerpiece, one of my enamel canisters holds a faux artichoke (I wish I had a faux strawberry vine, but it would be even better if I had a real strawberry vine.)

Outdoor Supper 5

I served potato chips in a fruit stand basket.

Outdoor Supper 6

For dessert, we ate fresh sliced strawberries over a dollop of ice cream.  Yum!  I used my Carnival Glass green compotes and saucers for the dessert.

Outdoor Supper 8

I love a BLT, but it tastes even better when I eat it outside in perfect weather.  By the way, I think it’s okay to be fruity sometimes.

It was great to have you visit our back porch.  laurie

This post is partying at  Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Sounds like a delightful summer meal. Your table is so fresh and colorful, Laurie, that it makes me smile with delight. We, too, have been blessed with a much milder summer here in Austin. I have to pinch myself to know I'm not dreaming. '-)
Enjoy these summer evening with alfresco dining.

Speaking of temps, it is downright chilly in Rockport this afternoon and I actually go a blanket to cuddle in while doing blog things. Crazy! Fun table on the porch, I'm sure a favorite place for you in nice weather.

Hi Laurie,
What a cheery table. Love that tablecloth, so cute. and isn't it
wonderful when the weather is nice
enough to eat outside on the porch,
I love doing that too, but it will be quite awhile yet before we can
do that again. We are over 100 degrees her in Florida, and the days it rains sometimes it goes to 80 at least, but still real muggy.
Very fun table, and the dinner sounds wonderful I love BLT sandwiches too.
Have a good rest of the week.
Blessings, Nellie

Hi Laurie, I just love this setting and the perfect way to spend a pleasant evening dining outside.
Love a BLT and have not had one in forever.
Your tablecloth and dishes are perfect. The berry box for the chips is a great idea. You never cease to amaze at the great ideas you come up with.
Our weather has been cooler too but we had rain finally and then it got a little muggy. I don't like muggy~
Have a blessed day.'Hugs
