FRIDAY FAVES-AD BATHING BEAUTIES EDITION

I discovered all of these bathing beauties on the Architectural Digest site.

Ralph Lauren's Bedford, New York, pool-house

Architectural Digest

Isn’t this bathroom charming?  It is in Ralph Lauren’s pool house at his Bradford New York Estate.

Jenni Kayne's LA Bath

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

I’m not sure I’d want to keep it shiny, but isn’t this nickel finished tub striking, and I love all of those windows.  This tub appears to be on the second floor and in a wooded area, so I assume there are no concerns about privacy.  (Jenni Kayne’s home in Los Angeles)

Shelter Island, New York, bath

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

Another of those nickel plates tubs.  I am swooning over the blue and white tile mural in a home in Shelter Island, NY.

New Canaan, Connecticut, Bath

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

I’d much rather have this view over my sink than to see myself in a mirror.  (New Canaan, Connecticut)

Lake Forest, Illinoise, bath

ARCHETICTURAL DIGEST

All of this Calacatta marble is stunning, and I love those fittings in the shower.

Waldo Fernandez LA Bath

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

More gorgeous Calacatta marble, and how about a shower while soaking in a tub?  (Waldo Fernandez home in Los Angeles).

Atlanta master bath

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

This is a cozy and romantic bathing spot.  I love the cutout around the tub area, and the tub is such a beauty. The pale violet wall color is a unique and soothing selection for the bathroom.   (Atlanta residence by Suzanne Kasler and William T. Baker)

Master Bath

ARCHITECTUAL DIGEST

I just had to share this very unique space.  I almost passed over this photo, thinking it wasn’t my living room style, and then I realized it is a bathroom!  See the tub way down there in front of the window wall, and the sink and towel heater on the sidewall?  They can have a party in their master bathroom.  I’m not sure why they would want to, but they can!   (Florida home of art collector, Becky Mayer, designed by Manuel J. Diaz Architect; Decorated by Furze Bard & Assoc.)

I hope you enjoyed this bathing beauty show. The sun is shining here right now, but more rain is predicted.  We’ve had so much rain the last few weeks.  I’m afraid that we are mildewing in Arkansas!  Have a great weekend!  laurie

Good grief that last room was a total surprise! I love all these bathrooms- especially the nickel plated tubs- so cool! My practical side looks at these those and wonders who keeps them clean and pristine- especially that one that's like a suite in marble! Great stuff!
Have a lovely weekend!
XO, Liz

I love cool bathrooms! The last one is unbelievable. Do you think more than one person could use it at a time? (;

We are about to begin the remodel of one of our guest baths. I'm gathering inspiration, but our space is much to small to use any of these ideas.
Enjoy the weekend!

Great inspiration! When I win the lottery, I'd like a great big bathroom that looks like a room! But I'll probably need one of those "step-in" tubs by then!
