FRIDAY FAVES-LIVING SPACE EDITION

HOUSE & HOME

Some of us call it a living room and others call it a family room.  Sometimes, they are even called great rooms.

HOUSE & HOME - Coco Chanel’s Apartment

No matter what you call it, I am sharing living spaces today.  I am attracted to the elegance of Coco Chanel’s apartment living room.

HOUSE BEAUTIFUL

The fireplace and those paintings on either side attracted me to this space.  Symmetry usually draws my eye to a room, but I also love the doors on the left side of this room.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HOME

Y’all know I love beams.  I love everything about this room.  That sofa table, that stripped rug, the furniture arrangement – all of it is so inviting.

Soft Accents

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS

Another beautiful fireplace that caught my eye, and the fabrics in the room are so soothing.  Love that deep fringe on the ottoman.

Several flea-market finds work together to create a cozy cottage space. A trophy-turned-lamp, a French bistro chair, and an old birdcage add substance and character. Mismatched dishes are turned into wall art. Soft yellow walls and touches of blue envelop the decidedly Country French room.

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS

A cozy reading nook with a lot of what I love – buffalo checks toile, and transferware, and isn’t that trophy lamp pretty?

COUNTRY LIVING

More beams and wonderful bookshelves.  A red, white and blue combination without screaming 4th of July.

COUNTRY LIVING

What a wonderful bay window, and the French style furniture is so pretty.  Look at the curvy ironwork on that table.

I am truly inspired by so many looks, and I love that the internet has made them so accessible.  I hope you were inspired by some of these photos.  Have a great weekend (our last weekend of campaigning!).  laurie

Excellent choices Laurie. I like something about each one of them. I especiall like that one from CountryLiving with the red striped rug- it looks like a spot you'd always want to hang out in. Cozy and casual- somewhat English looking too!
Have a wonderful weekend- I bet you guys are on pins and needles now that the last few days are drawing near of the election!! Fingers crossed!!

Wow...would be hard to pick just one as all the rooms are gorgeous. I do prefer the less formal rooms and the one with the beams was by far my favorite. Loved the colors too!
