I am smitten with this charming bathroom. I always love a claw foot tub, but I’m not sure that I would think of painting it yellow. The window treatment is such a formal look for the bathroom. I wouldn’t have thought of long draperies behind the tub, but I love what they do for the room. I even like the weathered little step stool
This room is in the guest house behind a Kentucky home. Isn’t all of the weathered wood fun? It makes it feel like a cabin in the woods. It looks like there is a floral pattern painted on the headboards, and I like the formality of the headboards against the rusticity of that wood.
My faves today are all over the place—charming, rustic, casual and formal. This gorgeous entry has me sighing. A lovely black door, with glass panes in the top, opens to this gorgeous divided mirror and wonderful table filled with candles and green apples. Isn’t this inviting?
Did you see the makeover of these chairs? If I could upholster, I’d love to do something like this. Isn’t that hardwood floor gorgeous? The blue and white lamp also caught my eye, and how about that see-through wire basket filled with blue and white plates. I wish there was something that could be done about the lamp cord. Those pesky lamp cords – can’t live with them; can’t live without them.
Okay, these narrow French doors, with curved windows on top, make my heart beat a little faster. With a wall like that, it almost doesn’t matter what else is in the room, but if I can calm my heart long enough to take a look, I can see that the furnishings and accessories are pretty too.
I’m so glad you stop in to dream along with me today. laurie
